7.2.1 MIPSpro Fortran 77 Release Notes

1. _I_n_t_r_o_d_u_c_t_i_o_n
This document contains information about the
MIPSpro Fortran 77 7.2.1 compiler. The Fortran
77 compiler includes the compiler driver,
preprocessors, man pages, manuals and libraries.
The MIPSpro Fortran77 compiler front-end is now
separately packaged in the _f_t_n_7_7__f_e subsystems.
For more information about the capabilities of
the Fortran 77 compiler, please refer to the
release notes under the _f_t_n_7_7__f_e subsystems.
Utilities, header files, and libraries common to
several languages are covered in the 7.2.1 _B_a_s_e
_D_e_v_e_l_o_p_m_e_n_t _R_e_l_e_a_s_e _N_o_t_e_s (accessed as the
ccccoooommmmppppiiiilllleeeerrrr____ddddeeeevvvv release notes).
Note: Fortran 77 is referred to as Fortran
throughout these release notes.

1.2 _O_n_l_i_n_e__R_e_l_e_a_s_e__N_o_t_e_s
After you install the online documentation for a
product (the _r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s subsystem), you can view
the release notes on your screen.
If you have a graphics system, select ``Release
Notes'' from the Tools submenu of the Toolchest.
This displays the _g_r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s(1) graphical browser
for the online release notes. Refer to the
_g_r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s(1) man page for information on options
to this command.
If you do not have a graphics system, you can
use the _r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s command. Refer to the
_r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s(1) man page for accessing the online
release notes.
